Terms and Conditions: Any instruction to carry out works, whether written or verbal, shall be taken as acceptance of these terms and conditions unless the work is subject of another written contract, the terms of which supersede these.

 

Standard of providing the Services: Once we have entered into a legally binding contract contractor will normally start providing the Services to you at the Premises using the Materials straight away or on a date agreed between us.

Contractor will provide client with the Services using reasonable care and skill and which are in compliance with electrical laws and regulations in force at the time contractor carry out the Services. A certificate in accordance with Part P of the Building Regulations if appropriate.

 

Price and Payment: Payment of the invoice in full is required within 7 days of completion of the Services.

If it becomes necessary to take steps to recover any unpaid invoice then client will be charged £175.00 + VAT for each solicitors letter sent. The client will be liable for all legal costs incurred in reclaiming outstanding debt.

If you fail to pay any amount due then you will be charged at Bank base rate + 3%, accruing on a daily basis.

 

Fees are based on stated day rate, (8 hours), or hourly unless price for job has been agreed in writing.

Fees do not include materials and expenses unless specified in quote. Parking and congestion charges will be paid by client.

Quotes are valid for 90 days from date of issue

 

Timing: Contractor aims to carry out the Services by the dates contractor either agrees with client or notify to client. But contractor cannot guarantee or provide a firm commitment that contractor will start performing the Services by a certain date or time; or contractor will complete the performance of all the Services by any specified date or time; or the performance of any individual part of the Services will be completed  by a specified date or time.

 

Cancellation: Cancellation where contractor has started to perform the services: If contractor has started to perform the services and you decide you wish to cancel the contract you will have to pay for any Services contractor has performed up to the date of cancellation and for any materials contractor has purchased. If client has made payments to contractor in excess of the amount of Services contractor has performed or materials contractor has purchased, contractor will return the difference to client within 14 days of cancellation.

 

Cancellation where contractor has not started to perform the services: If contractor has not started to perform the services, and contractor is given a minimum of 72 hours, contractor will not ask client to pay contractor anything (and will refund any deposit less cost of materials purchased)


Instruction: If printed plans or written instructions are not provided, installed items will be located at electricians discretion. Standard fittings type supplied will be at discretion of contractor unless instructed in writing by client and a price agreed in writing. Contractor cannot be responsible for suitability of products supplied by client. Contractor will not install any products considered not complying to current regulations or not suitable for installation. Client specified products must be paid for in full in advance if to be purchased by contractor. 
 

Quotes: Quotes are for basic accessories only unless otherwise specified. Quotes do not include any repair to fabric of building either before or after installation. The quotes for installation of accessories includes installation only, and specifically not assembly. If assembly is required it will be subject to normal hourly charge in addition to installation cost.

Existing circuits: No responsibility can be taken for faults or inadequacies of existing circuits. Any correction work required to conform to current regulation will be chargeable at quoted rates.

 

Limitation and exclusion of liability The Services only includes items specified in the estimate and quotation. Whilst taking every care contractor cannot be held responsible for damage to floorboards, etc whilst they are being removed. Contractor will not be responsible for the removal of any waste created by the Services. The Services do not include repair work to the building fabric or redecoration unless otherwise specified in the estimate or quotation. If contractor is expected to provide Services which involve working with, adding to, changing, or installing goods or installations then it is expected the installations in place at the Premises will be in good working order or in good condition. Contractor will not be liable or responsible for damage to such installations caused during the performance of my services.

 

The client is expected to supply electricity for use of tools. Safe access must be provided for heights over 2 metres. If access is not possible on arrival client may be subject to day rate fee.
